Dieses Spiel war früher ein fantastisches Strategie-Kartenspiel, bei dem es auf deine Planung und den richtigen Einsatz deiner Karten ankam, um ein Spiel zu gewinnen. Aber jetzt hängt das Spiel nur noch davon ab, wie viel Geld man bereit ist, dafür auszugeben. Ein Aufwertungssystem sollte niemals in ein Kartenspiel wie dieses eingebaut werden, weil es den Spielern erlaubt, Geld auszugeben, um besser zu werden und die Karten so weit zu verbessern, dass man nicht mehr gegen sie gewinnen kann, egal wie gut die Strategie ist. Früher habe ich dieses Spiel geliebt, aber der Pay-to-Win-Stil hat es zu einem absoluten Müll gemacht.

Ich weiß nicht, wie es auf gegnerische Figuren zielt. Mehrere Spiele wurden nicht durch Geschicklichkeit entschieden, sondern durch scheinbar zufälliges Anvisieren. Ich habe z. B. eine Einheit, die eine gegnerische Figur besiegen kann, aber anstatt auf diese spezielle Figur zu zielen, zielt sie auf eine weniger wichtige, kleinere gegnerische Figur daneben. Das führt dazu, dass die stärkere gegnerische Figur in meine Festung eindringt und das Spiel praktisch entscheidet. Wirklich ärgerlich? Soll das Spiel so funktionieren???

Tolle Spielmechanik, Idee und Kunst, aber sehr kostenpflichtig. Ich spiele seit 2019, und selbst mit meinen gesammelten Karten finde ich dieses Spiel extrem undankbar. Karten, vor allem legendäre Karten, die einfach besser sind als andere ähnliche Karten, belohnen das Können nicht richtig, sondern eher die Kartenstufe eines Spielers, die eine Karte für ihre Manakosten einfach besser macht. Das entmutigt einzigartige Decks und Spielstile, und ich kann es nicht rechtfertigen, das Spiel langfristig zu spielen, da Pay to Win mit zunehmendem Rang viel, viel schlechter wird.

Der neueste Patch entfernt sich nur noch weiter von der Balance. Die Iorncald waren schon mittelmäßig, bevor sie einen Nerf erhielten. In der Zwischenzeit hat der Schwarm weitere Verstärkungen erhalten, als ob er nicht schon jedes Spiel, in dem er auftaucht, gewinnen würde. Und das, ohne auf den Alptraum einzugehen, den die "Ältesten"-Karten darstellen. Je mehr man versucht, sie zu töten, desto schlimmer wird es. Und wenn man gute Karten haben will, braucht man seltene Karten, die einen richtig viel Geld kosten. Früher war dieses Spiel unterhaltsam.
